All-Star duds for an All-Star cast.

This year's All-Star Game is continuing on a new wrinkle that MLB added in 2021: No MLB Pantslonger will you see the uniforms of specific teams on the field, instead, you'll see every player in gray and white alternatives instead.

Unlike last year's bland and boring All-Star uniforms, this year's uniforms at least have proper team representation. Here's a look at this year's getup:

This year's uniforms are, thankfMLB Home and Office Decorully, more representative, with the wordmark of the teams on the front, and not some bizarre over-design like the 2021 editions.

The uniforms are designed by Nike as part of the company's billion-dollar deal with MLB, so consider it something of a business decision for the league.

For years, the All-Star weekend uniforms were worn strictly during the Home RunJose Altuve Derby and the All-Star Game warmup, but not during the actual game itself.

It was a tradition that stood for over 80 years: In 1933, the first-ever All-Star Game, the NL wore specifically designed National League uniforms, but reverted back to their own uniforms and caps in 1934. That only changed in 2021, when players wore the more generic uniforms during the All-Star Game.
