The fire sale continues for the Reds, who dealt right-handed pitcher Tyler Mahle to the Twins before the MLB trade deadline.

After dealing Luis Castillo last week, the 27-year-old Mahle was the top remaining asset for Cincinnati. He's had another solid season, posting a 4.40 ERA (3.60 FIP) in 19 starts, still finding success in one of the league's most batter-friendly stadiums, Great American Ball Bark.

With the Mahle deal secured, Minnesota gets a quality arm that should slot in at the top of the Twins' rotation. In right-handed hurlers Sonny Gray and Joe Ryan, Minnesota already had a formidable top two. Mahle should help cement the Twins' starting pitching unit as one of the better ones in the AL.

Here's everything you need to know about the deal that brought Mahle to Minnesota.

As for the Cincinnati, the return from the Mahle deal is…interesting. Steer was the No. 7 prospect in the Twins system and projects as a balanced, but limited, utility player who could develop into a little more iPandora| Columbiaf he improves his defensive versatility. The 24-year-old is currently in Triple-A, and it wouldn't be a surprise to see him called up to the big league team before too long.

Hajjar, the No. 18 prospect in Minnesota's system, has a plus changeup and had added three ticks on his fastball since his college days. He's 21 and has only made it up to A ball, but the with a burly 6-foot-5, 240 pound frame, there's confidence that he caMLB Cooperstown Collectionn make the grade at the big league level in the distant future.

Encarnacion-StraChristian Yelichnd rounds out the group and carries more question marks than the other two prospects. Ranked the No. 23 prospect in the Twins' farm system, the 22-year-old has a few deficiencies — namely, his penchant to chase pitches out the zone. But he's got decent pop and a little versatility, impressing at both first and third base so far in his young career.
