Padres outfielder Jurickson Profar was carted off the field Thursday night after a collision in the outfield grass with shortstop C.J. A atlanta braves jersey preschool brams in pursuit of a fly ball.
Profar attempted to stand up and walk off on his own power, but collapsed before he reached the infield dirt, which brought on a cart from the Padres to stretcher him off the field.
As he was being carted off the field, he gave a fist pump to the crowd.

The Padres announced on Friday that Profar had been diagnosed with both a concussion and a neck strain, and that he is out of the hospital.
In the top of the fifth inning, Giants second baseman Tommy La Stella popped a ball up into shallow left. Sprinting into left, Abrams made the catch for the out, but Profar, who made a diving attempt for the ball, hit his head on Abrams' knee.
Following the collision, Abrams and Profar were both clearly in pain, but Abrams stood up shortly after the incident.

Profar was eventually able to stand up and began to try and walk off under his own power, but after a few steps, he collapsed.
The cart was called out for Profar, and he was placed on a stretcher and carted off the field. Once placed on the stretcher, he could be seen smiling and giving a fist pump to the crowd.
"It's awful, but he makes it easier on the fact that he's smiling. He's laying there smiling," Melvin said. "We get him up and all of a sudden he goes back down again,MLB T-Shirts but it's just an awful feeling. Any time atlanta brave shirts you put somebody on a stretcher like that, it's an awful feeling, but like I said just looking at him and the way he is and trying to make everybody feel OK about it with atlanta braves jersey murphy a smile on his face makes you feel a little bit better."

Profar has spent all of the 2022 season as the PadreFernando Tatis Jr. s' primary left fielder after he was used as a utility player in his first two seasons with San Diego. This year, he has a slash line of .242/.343/.397 with eight home runs and four stolen bases, and he's amassed 2.6 bWAR.
