Transasia donates 25 BiPAP ventilator machines and 40 cell counters worth more than Rs. 2.25 crores to Tamil Nadu

Multiple Publications, May 25, 2021: Transasia Bio-Medicals Ltd., India’s Leading IVD player for whom India comes first, has been actively supporting various state governments in providing faster diagnosis and treatment to COVID patients. To help the state of Tamil Nadu in its’ fight against the second wave of the pandemic, Transasia donated 25 BiPAP-Ventilator machines for deployment in various COVID-dedicated hospitals all over Tamil Nadu. In spite of the current shortage in the availability of these machines, Transasia procured these machines from its global vendors.

 

Shri Ma. Subramanian, Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Tamil Nadu and Dr. T. S. Selvanvinayagam, Director of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, DMS Campus, Chennai received them from S. Satheesh Kumar, Zonal Manager, Chennai and Mr. S. Ramanathan, Divisional Business Head, South Division of Transasia Bio-Medicals Ltd. Transasia is also handing over free of charge 32 units of H 360, three part differential hematology analyzer and 5 and 3 units of H 560 and Elite 580 respectively, five part differential hematology analyzer. These equipment aid in monitoring disease severity in COVID patients. The total value of the donation from Transasia Bio-Medicals is more than Rs. 2.25 crores.

 

Transasia’s COVID-19 IgG antibody test, RT PCR kit, and those for critical parameters such as D Dimer, CRP, Ferritin are being effectively employed by thousands of laboratories and hospitals all over India and in over 100 countries to monitor the progression of infection.


Expressing his gratitude to the Vazirani Foundation and Transasia for extending their support to the Tamil Nadu government, Shri Ma. Subramanian, Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Tamil Nadu said, “It’s a timely donation and essential in the fight against Coronavirus. Transasia’s efforts to deliver non-invasive ventilation will benefit many COVID-19 patients struggling to breathe while trying to fight off this virus. We laud Transasia’s ongoing efforts in Tamil Nadu in preventing, detecting, and responding to the pandemic.”

 

“I hereby express my profound gratitude to Transasia for coming forward to donate 25 units of BiPAP and 40 cell counters (32 units of H 360, 5 units of H 560 and 3 units of Elite 580). This will definitely give us immense support in activities of prevention, control and treatment of COVID-19”, added Dr. T. S. Selvanvinayagam, Director of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, DMS Campus, Chennai.
